I presently serve as the Historical Society of Pennsylvania’s Digital Services Librarian. Before that, I worked as a Digital Projects Archivist at PhillyHistory.org, a job I loved fervently. I was also the Digital Archives Coordinator at the Archives of the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Anthropology and Archaeology. I received my Master of Arts degree from Temple University in May of 2011. My degree was in history, with a concentration specifically in public history and especially archives. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Arcadia University in May of 2004. There I majored in history and minored in art history and was in the honors program. I’ve been passionate about history my entire life. My graduate studies only fueled my passion. I learned to think critically as a historian, the importance of preserving history, along with ways to bring history to and involve the public. I am fervently committed to customer service in history and particularly in archives. Before I decided to return to graduate school, I worked in multiple customer-service oriented jobs, including positions at the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American Association for Cancer Research. I am very much involved in and committed to the Philadelphia public history and archives communities. I am always looking for additional ways to hone my skills and become more involved. I also love to read and am an avid coin and book collector. I enjoy photography and have amassed a considerable collection of antique and vintage photographs.
